Sip & Sketch

So last Friday was my first Sip & Sketch. A few of us got together and had a great time. I served Rainbow Soda. It was quite the inspiration in a cup. I just had water though, since I don't care for gingerale or Sierra mist.

I ended up sketching a really pretty elf angel. Can't wait till my Christmas stuff is done so I can color it. :3

Thank you card

I can't believe I forgot to blog this. I have seriously fallen behind in my blogging. LOL. Anyway, I did this card for a lovely couple. The turtle is a stamp, I didn't draw him. But isn't he cute? He was especially cute after I took my Copic markers to him. Hehe

Gallery Illustrations

Just got back from the local Art Gallery here. I dropped off these two lovely ladies. They are both original pieces. They look so much nicer than prints. :3 Anyway, they're matted at 11x14 inches. I also decorated the mattes to match the illustration, though I doubt you can see it in these photos.

CopicColor.com Sept Contest Entry

Just wanna start out by saying that I did not draw this lil cutie. CopicColor.com is holding a coloring contest challenge. The winner gets a marker from their wishlist. The lineart was provided, and you had to use 6 colors to color her. I really like how she turned out, so I figured I'd post her. :3

Art Class Graphite Final

I teach a homeschool art Class on Fridays. Today was our Graphite Final. I drew a picture and provided step by step illustrations for the students to follow. I really like how mine came out, so I thought I would share. :3

Seaside Baby

I didn't get any camera shots of this one when it was done. I was so excited I finished it that I wrapped it up and gave it to my dad (for his birthday) before taking pics. lol. So, all I've got is the scanned version, along with a youtube video with everybody's favorite pirate music. :D

I can't get over how much I really love this picture. I just love these colors together... and I <3 her kimono. ^_^ Needless to say, I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I can't wait to order my banner. I'll have 5 glorious feet of this picture. :3

Love is a Verb

This piece is dedicated to my husband. In one of his sermons, he said something that has stuck with not only me, but everyone who heard that sermon. Love is a Verb. I wanted to do a piece that illustrated that statement.

Pre Camp Art Day

You wouldn't think that this banner started out as a piece of butcher paper. The paint we used was glossy acrylic, so it makes it look like we painted on plastic.

At any rate, it's gonna look awesome behind the band at camp. XD
